Christos Filokyprou

Christos Filokyprou, from Lythrodontas, was born on 15/05/2002. At the age of 8 he started cycling with the academy of the Metropolis of Tamassos and Oreinis, Agios Mnasson. His talent for mountain cycling was obvious from an early age. His achievements so far are many. He won the Balkan Championship for 2 years in the Children’s Category. He was a Champion and Cup Winner in mountain biking for 2 years in the Junior Category and an MTB XCO Champion and Cup Winner in mountain biking in 2019 and 2020. His other achievements include:

• MTB XCE Champion – 2019 and 2020
• 3rd place in the Balkan Championship – 2018
• 1st place in the general classification in the 4-day international race Sunshine 2019
• 2nd place in the general classification in the 4-day international race Sunshine 2020
• 1st place in an international race
• MTB XCO KOS
• MTB XCM KOS
• MTB SHORT TRACK KOS

Christos was the best teenage cyclist of 2019. He currently holds 37th place in the UCI among 500 athletes from professional teams.
